Submission of supplementary material

Significant technical changes have occurred since the enactment of the mandatory submission laws in 2002, and the following are guidelines for submissions to the National Film Archive of Iceland.

The small print

Please note that it is important to submit materials for each film well-labeled and separated in folders on a hard drive for duplication to the archive. The drive can be retrieved after the duplication is completed. Submissions are requested for files that belong to all main categories (which are bolded). Please only submit files that were created for the specific film being submitted.

The files that the Film Archive wishes to preserve, if available, are as follows:

ORIGINAL MASTER
  • Digital Master (ProRes 4444 or other formats)
  • DCDM Master
DCP

DCP
DCP 24 or 25 FPS (OV and VF)

OTHER COPIES

Screening copy (e.g. H.264, ProRes 422) With and without subtitles.

STREAMING COPIES

Complete film e.g. H.264, mp4.

Streaming File. With and without subtitles

TEASERS/TRAILERS

Teaser/Trailer. MASTER
Teaser/Trailer. DCP (24 or 25 FPS)
