BÍÓTEKIÐ or Cinematheque is the name of our regular film screenings organized by the Icelandic Film Museum, held in collaboration with Bíó Paradís. Selected Icelandic and foreign films will be shown one Sunday each month, from September 2025 to April 2026.

At the beginning of 2021, the Icelandic Film Museum received recognition from the Museum Council and subsequently applied for an excellence grant for research at the Icelandic Film Museum.
